Engagement & Transfer

Alongside my academic work, I have been involved in political institutions, university governance, civic engagement and science–society transfer. These experiences have shaped my interest in how ideas, institutions and public practices interact beyond the university.

Political & Civic Engagement

I have experience working within political institutions and party organisations, including as a parliamentary assistant to a Member of the European Parliament and in local party leadership. I have also taken part in public political debates and electoral campaigning, experiences that have reinforced my commitment to democratic participation, representation and the relationship between political institutions and public discourse.

University Governance & Institutional Work

I have contributed to university governance and institutional development in several roles, including as a doctoral representative, through committee work, and as a project coordinator in the University of Münster’s Zukunftslabor. I have also participated in institutional processes concerned with academic structures, strategic development and the organisation of university life.

Science–Society Transfer

I am interested in forms of transfer that bring philosophical thinking and structure into dialogue with professional practice, public debate and institutional decision-making. This includes communicating philosophical ideas beyond specialist academic contexts, developing practice-oriented teaching and discussion formats, and contributing to conversations in which normative questions have direct social and institutional relevance. I am currently also developing a podcast on practical ethical questions, aimed at making philosophical reflection accessible to a broader audience and connecting ethical theory with contemporary social and professional challenges that people inevitably face.

Public Service & Civic Responsibility

I have also taken on civic and public-service responsibilities beyond the university and party politics, including serving as a lay judge in the German court system.
